The Crimson Queen is the mother of the Crimson King through her mating with Arthur Eld.
She is a ravenous, insectile entity from the Prim who survived when the Prim receded. She meets Arthur Eld during his coronation when she arrives unannounced with Maerlyn and his allies. It is during his coronation that they mate and the Crimson King is conceived. True to her ravenous nature, the Crimson Queen then attempts to kill Arthur, but is thwarted when Sir Kay Deschain comes to his defense, saving Arthur's life. Kay is killed by the Queen in the struggle.
