The Cult of Amoco

The Cult of Amoco is a cult that believes the god, Amoco, resides under the earth within a petrol station. They are allied to no one but themselves and attack any outsiders. They carry out animal sacrifices to their apparent god.

It is possible that the cult only worships the Amoco totem due to the advanced technology that it represents, for in the Keystone World, Amoco is merely a gas station.

The Cult is destroyed by Roland Deschain and his gunslingers who attack them to free their prisoners and also to stop John Farson from taking over the petrol station for its petroleum resources.
