Robin Furth is the research assistant to Stephen King and has also been heavily involved in adapting The Dark Tower Series into comic books. In 2009, she also received writing credits for the comic book adaptation of The Talisman, written by King and Peter Straub. Her maps were included in The Dark Tower.

Her research involving the Dark Tower was primarily used to prevent continuity errors on King's part. However, King decided that her research was useful and interesting enough to be published and given to his Constant Readers. Thus, Stephen King's The Dark Tower: A Concordance was born.

Her efforts on his behalf continued to be rewarded, as she was allowed to write the storylines for the Dark Tower comic adaptations.

Discrepancy in Stories[]

In Robin Furth's comic storyline, shortly after killing his mother, Roland Deschain is imprisoned for an undetermined amount of time. However, Stephen King's The Wind Through the Keyhole, has Roland heading on a journey following his mother's death.
