Gingerbread House is the place where Ted Brautigan, Dinky Earnshaw, and Sheemie go when they need to escape the constant surveillance of the guards at Algul Siento. It was created by Sheemie. It is described as being a "balcony on the Dark Tower". This allows a person to spend as much time as they want in Gingerbread House and still return to the same moment they left in their universe.
The house is made entirely of sweets yet it is possible to touch things without getting your hands sticky. The stairs are chocolate and the banister is a candy cane. The chairs in the house are made of marshmallow.
The house overlooks Twizzler Avenue. It is impossible to get onto the road, but can be seen from the windows. The cars that drive along it appear to be bon-bons.
