Shardik's lair was, upon it being found by Roland Deschain and his company, a wreckage. Five of his original many aid robots were alive and rotating in an ever-going circle, since they had no other purpose because he was dead. These robots attacked the company, but they fail and were destroyed. It was also home to a portal, one of the twelve.
