... might have been the father of Eddie and Jake?
I am not in favour of putting speculation like this in the articles but I think it is an interesting possibility, even though I find Mr Tower to be one of the most annoying characters in the books. Jake notes that his mother often slept with other men, and Eddie has no idea who his father is (hence his exclamation to Roland, "I don't care dick for my father!" which earns him a slap). Most pertinently, in the 'verse where Susannah finally ends up, the equivalents of Eddie and Jake are brothers with the surname Toren.
Anyone's thoughts on this matter would be welcome.
