The Xay River Canyon is a deep, wide canyon to the west of the Barony of Mejis. The Dogan and Pass O' The River are built along its eastern edge.
The Xay River runs through it; its source lies in the VI Castis Mountains.
The bridge supports over the canyon are cut by Cuthbert Allgood when he and Alain Johns, with a lifeless Roland Deschain in hand, cross over so that the pursuing forces led by Clay Reynolds can follow them no longer.
